Shutting Down Paul and “The Boss” in Middle of Duet
QUOTE In what may be the dumbest enforcement of a curfew in rock and roll history, organizers of a Bruce Springsteen concert in London literally pulled the plug on the show during an encore featuring special guest Paul McCartney UNQUOTE
This year’s “Brain Dead Dumb Assed Decision” contest (public venue) has been called off after the governing board unanimously decided nobody could top the decision to cut off power in compliance with a noise curfew in the middle of an historic duet by two of the, if not the two, greatest figures in pop music in the past fifty years.
So what do you think about it?

Seems a bit badly organised would think they planned it better then that …..mac
I think brain dead dumb assed decision is the polite version.
What a bunch of idiots
Had I been there, I would have been more than disappointed, however, according to the Associated Press, the three and a half hour concert went thirty minutes passed the curfew, and Springsteen and McCartney were able to perform two songs together. The microphones went dead about the time they were saying their ‘thank you’s and good-byes’. I’m only suggesting that perhaps the concert promoters should have taken the sound ordinance into consideration, and brought McCartney out sooner. That way, the concert-goers would have left happy, and there would have been no bad press.
I totally concur with you on this, oldbull.
