Senior Chatters is not a dating site

When I joined Senior Chatters some 21 months ago now, I joined being comfortable that it was no dating site. I had no need of dating, because I was in a loving relationship, and one that I thought would be mine for many many years. I wanted to make friends, from over the world. And that is what Sc gave to me. But how could I have known, that within 3 months of joining, my whole life was going to be changed out of all recognition when my Mark died, and I lost him to the angels. Losing Mark, has changed me, as losing the one you love changes us all, I will never be the same Annie again!!!
Yet, I met a man here, casual chat to begin, he was a recent widower, and we chatted about our pain. After a while we progressed from chatters to skype, and had regular ‘dates’ at 9pm each evening. Then we met!!!! (scarey!!) but we got on exceptionally well….have been seeing each other for over a year now, and 4 days ago he brought me a beautiful Tanzanite & Diamond ring and we have become engaged. It will be a long engagement!! there are many bridges for us both to cross, but I wanted to tell you all his name is Ernie, and he is a member here….
The moral of this story????????…………… Senior Chatters is not a dating site!!! lol

    beautiful story…it makes things much easier when you both live in the same country…some people find good connections with others from a different country ..and that makes for difficult long distance relationships…not always recommended lol…

    S/C is not set out to be a dating site, there is so many people on the site, and there is bound to be relationships forming between couples from corresponding with each other.

    Hello to you all
    It was lovely to read so many nice replies to Annies blog, thank you all so much for your kind thoughts.
    Yes I know how lucky I am, we are so happy together.
    After both losing our partners, we both thought it could never happen again, but the heart can learn to love again.
    We both will never stop loving the partners we lost, and we believe they would want us to be happy, and get on with our lives.
    I have to thank the S/C site, otherwise we would have never met, and although we live 100 miles apart, love will find away.

    This blog certainly has put smiles on all SCs. Annie I am so happy for you and Ernie – it couldn’t have happened to a nicer couple. I knew Ernie was a lovely man when I read his blog about a piece of wood from Jesus’ cross – I wanted to reply to it for a long time and eventually did.
    Your Angel is holding your hand Annie and he has sent another Angel to look after you here. Congratulations to a wonderful couple for a wonderful future together xoxoxox

    Thank you so much to all of you for your wonderful messages. I feel so happy, that you are happy that we are happy!!! lol
    My ring has left me for a short while to be resized (I didnt want to let it go, but there again, most definately didnt want to lose it) will post a picture when it returns.
    Your messages have brought tears to my eyes, what wonderful friends I have found on here!…. Love to all Annie x
