Reflections of the Reunion
It has been a whole week since Homecoming Reunion. I have thought about why it was so successful to so many chatters.
First of all, weeks before the event, so many different chatters became involved with the preparations. It was not about one person who put it together. It was the fashion designers, the hair stylists, the delicious chefs, the wine and alcohol connoisseurs. There was the music critics, and the video and movie buffs, as well as reporters profiling the members. The site became energized and exciting for many , many people.
Yes, there were also the negative chatters. The ones from the very beginning who said they found it silly, or stupid. The ones who didn’t understand what it was about. The ones who were unable to think outside of the box, just to have fun.The ones who said they planned on boycotting it, and not being a part of it. The ones who said they were just too busy . With all of the negatives, it did not effect the outcome of the reunion, because so many more chatters were incredibly positive.
For me, I reconnected with a lot of people, that I do not get to see very often on here. We had so many laughs. We had silly talks, and serious talks as well. The photos and tunes that everyone shared with one another, will be memories to cherish.
I found what was so different about the reunion room compared to the lobby was everyone laughed. No one argued. There was no bickering. There was no policing. We didn’t need to be scolded or banned, because everyone that was there, wanted to have fun.
Congratulations to everyone on the site for making the Homecoming Reunion a special memory. Cheer to you all!!

It was a great place to be ,passy,…the build up to the reunion was such fun,everyone worked so hard to make it a success,all tha laughter down those corridors,in and out of all the rooms,not to mention all that booze!! and food!!.the atmosphere was electric!!,and the reunion room was a great place to talk and share pictures.Thank you to you all for makeing it happen.
You are so right about the atmosphere being electric!! It surely was from all the positive energy in the room ! 🙂
i just have one question…who pinched all of my chocolate fountains?….

well pass i enjoyed the fun while i was there…but marge ate all my food when i was dancing,she was so cheeky.-)

there was food and booze set up in several places,cath..sorry you missed it cause it was soooooooooooooooo good..lol

Has anyone found my shoes? Oh, and I have someone’s size 8 half slip. What a blast and Passy, I couldn’t agree with you more…….so the next one will be an outside event right? I am polishing up my grill.
It sure sounds like the next event could be the first Chatters BBQ??? Since you are polishing your grill Anurri, looks like you may be hosting it??? hahahahaha
I would like to say thank you to all the reunion coordinators…..I heard from some members that have been absent for months…it was so nice to reconnect with some long lost friends…..

As a relatively new member, I thoroughly enjoyed the reunion! To all who made it possible, a hearty congratulations! It was nice to see everyone just relax and have fun! 🙂

I have to be honest and say I was a little nervous to go into the Reunion room at first, becuse I didn’t know how things would go. Now I am so glad I went !!! Had a really good time, felt very at ease, and the room was welcoming. Thank you to everyone that was invovled in the planning, wonderful job. And to you Wanda were ever you are!!

Yes, it was a fabulous time. We had lots of laughs and it was great to meet people who don’t frequent the lobby. We have so many interesting people as well as creative. Thanks for all your hard work to make it a fun atmosphere. It was just what we needed. Now on to the BBQ!

i have a load of sand ready to add a beach atmosphere to the BBQ…does that sound all right?

Passy,I’ve just returned from a family visit so caught up with your blog a little late…..but yes, it was a fun and exciting time. So many people worked so hard,and showed such flair and imagination….and you, my dear friend, were the real soul,encouraging, chivvying, persuading…and MJ, who was the voice of common sense and the peacemaker.
We have so many talented and imaginative friends here…I would definitely be in favour of more such events, to bring us all closer together!
