Re- my poem…a little something for easter sunday…..

wow!!!! never expected world war three over it at all!!! I just thought it was nice for easter sunday but how wrong could i have been!!! Thank you to those of you who liked it, and for your nice comments, and sorry to the ones that didn’t if i offended you…. after all….Everyone is entitled to their opinions and that is fine by me, all are welcome!!! At the end of the day…I didn’t force anyone to read it!!! have a nice day everyone!!! 🙂 🙂

    if any body objected to your poem its shows that realise it is true but they are afraid to believe the truth john 3v16 tells it all FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. He did this foe everyone remember its no good leaving it to the lasat moment to accept JESUS as you dont know when your life will end and after that there is no hope if we want the world to change we have to put Jesus in the right place there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ.
    Remember this Religion is man made.. BUT CHRISTIANITY IS GOD GIVEN

    Anyone is free to believe in what they want to believe in.

    The unfortunate outcome is that some people believe in religions that are not exactly friendly to unbelievers.

    The problem now arises that how can you educate these idiots to stop following religions that spout out hatred when we have our own educated millions that still believe in fairy stories.

    And I quote “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE” This could come from “Lord of the Rings” or “Star Trek”.

    Religion spawns hatred, we even have deluded Stewart telling us unbelievers that we are doomed to eternal hell if we don’t follow his stupid little book.

    Nice poems with nice sentiments can be written at Easter without dancing round at Stonehenge, sacrificing a goat or believing that the human race started with a naked couple sitting under a tree eating an apple and chatting to a snake. There I go, back to “Lord of the Rings”

    Happy Easter, everyone, may your chocolate bunnies be tasty and sweet.

      ok rodthegeek i take your point which is now bordering on being nasty… which yes i do take offence too..that is just it…people are free to believe in what they want why that should be unfriendly just cos’ it is not what you believe in, i have no idea? why do we need to educate anyone? if i want to believe in fairy stories i will…I have never seen lord of the rings or star trek, so can’t comment on those. The only hatred i see here is yourself cos’ stewart is thinking differently to you? There was no way i was dancing around stonehenge, i wouldn’t/ don’t have the time for that tho’ it does sound a good idea after a few lagers!!!! Also i wouldn’t sit under a tree naked or otherwise (unless as i have said …after a few lagers!!) talking to a snake!!! I hate snakes of any kind especially the two legged variety!!! and happy easter to you hun and i didn’t get any chocolate bunnies to enjoy but feel free to send me one!!! Also i would like to end with …i do hope you find what you are looking for in your’ spiritual’ home of greece and that you are very happy!!!! oh and by the way….nearly forgot my manners…thank you for your comment!!! 🙂

      Your theone who is bordering on hatred but you listened to anything yes have aright to what they like but you dont the difference between what is the truth if you had read the bible you would know mthat words from john 3v16 were the truth about christiany is not a religion religion is man made any silly fool can start a religion but for christiany to be what it is some had tro die for our sins that hat person was JESUS you said i was telling as an unbeliver you were condemned to eternal life in hell its not me telling you that or the bible but it is God himself it right to have your own view but it isnt your to abuse people with irrational views if you think you are so clever why not get a bible and go and study and prove the truth better peoplke than you have done that and realised whatr they read was true .

    Pollie…. I AM A CHRISTIAN…!!!!!!! I BELIEVE IN THE LORD, JESUS CHRIST. I BELIEVE THAT HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS. I BELIEVE IN EVERLASTING LIFE.
    And I will profess this statement for the rest of my life and never be ashamed.

    AMEN…….!!!!!!!!

    Pollie, your poem was beautiful, I was surprised at the response. An apology is not required from you pols, I will continue to celebrate Easter as I have done all my life and Christmas, the real meaning of both, not the commercial side. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion and that include Christians. xxxxx

    This is totally unacceptable from what appears to be commonly termed as “Senior Adults”. I can also see why Admin has asked us not to get into discussions on Religion and Politics….this is a very good example of why such discussions should be private and not in a public arena such as Blogs and Chatrooms.
    My suggestion is that it stops here and now!!! Those interested have had their say and made their points and I hope that the differing opinions don’t affect friendships which is what this site is all about.
