On Google (an answer to Faye’s previous post)

For all those who are worried, there is a general rule of thumb here. Don’t put anything on the internet you don’t want someone else to read or find out.

Yes, I can find all my posts and my name by googling myself, but it is Kiwigirl I am googling, not my personal name. And trust me, I tried to find the real me as well, but no go. No real name, no email address, no personal details, all of which are held here.

Senior Chatters is as secure as any other site, Nothing is protected from the real cyber thieves, but I have been here for 4 years and mine are still safe.

As I said, and have told people on here repeatedly, anything you post or write anywhere on the internet, not only Senior Chatters, is open to being found by anyone who knows what name you post under.

This doesn’t mean the site isn’t secure. Google is a search engine that is programmed to pick up what people post anywhere on the internet highway.
