Today I wanted to write a blog. One of my co-workers retired today. He is 58 I think. That had me thinking about when I started here. I was number 88. Tomorrow I will be number 4. So many men have retired through 33 years. I am glad that I could meet most of them. So many characters to deal with. Some easy-going, others unapproachable.
During all this time I never had friends outside of work. Maybe because I had seen some of them chum around and when something would happen at work, their personal life would be affected too. Strangely that is how I have lived: friends at work, at hobbies, relatives, but never did I have a friend that would overlap elsewhere.
I have learnt a lot from co-workers. It is like being able to see in the future; someone could tell me their experience and it would be up to me to take the advice or ignore it.
I had written something on Microsoft Word and then deleted it. I find that I erase, cut, paste, change too often and I try to do the best all the time. Whereas writing this way I am willing to not change things as much.
I have always liked to write with a pencil. It is because of the calligraphy-like result. Every time that I turn the pencil in my hand, the width of the lines change.
This is just a tryout. I thought I’d be different this once. For those who like handwriting analysis, be my guest!
Til next time,
David

  2. Hi David , yes I still prefer handwriting ,it’s so much quicker for me to grab
a piece of paper a pen / pencil and go for it , specially if an idea for a blog or a poem it’s going around my head . I find that words flow out of my head easier than if I have to type them!
Unfortunately handwriting it’s going to be a thing of the past ,and perhaps be learnt as an art like calligraphy is today !
