Movie Characters

Being a lover of films I was thinking what characters I would like to have been from the films I have seen. I thought it may make for an interesting blog to see what other people come up with. So what I would suggest is that you come up with three characters that you would like to be (all fictional please). Real people is for maybe another Blog.

So lets start this off with three from me. (I may think of others later and have another go):

Neo from The Matrix (Keanu Reeves)

James Bond from Many Films (Sean Connery Version)

Glenn Holland From Mr Hollands Opus (Richard Dreyfuss)

Over to you, I feel sure there will be some great choices.

    1. Dianne,

Thanks you for your kind words.

Nice choices. My dear departed Mum would definitely have agreed with you on Scarlett, she always had a thing for Clark Gable. Also what a delight Audrey Hepburn was. I’m Not sure abut Somewhere in time I dont think Ive seen it, one to look out Im sure.

  3. Tough picking, but here are my three –
Harold Hill – Robert Preston, from “The Music Man.”
Rick – Humphrey Bogart, from “Casablanca.”
Josey Wales – Clint Eastwood, from “The Outlaw Josey Wales.”

  4. Mary Poppins-Julie Andrews in “Mary Poppins.”
Maggie-Elizabeth Taylor in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”
    Rae-Susan Hayward in “Back Street.”

  5. Jenny Agutter as Roberta in The Railway Children, my all time favourite film
Marylin Monroe in Some Like it Hot. Working with Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis must have been a lot of fun
Ginger Rogers in Top Hat…..the glamour and elegance, and dancing with Fred Astaire.

  6. Amelie, (Audrey Tautou) – The fabulous destiny of Amélie Poulain (2001)
She discretely helps others, bringing smiles and happiness to those without hope or happiness. Like a year round secret Santa.

    Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), Alien (1979)
She is fearless, resourceful and dangerous. Kicks alien butt.

Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) (2000) Erin Brockovich
    Independent, proud and tenacious …

  7. The actress who played the lead role of a waitress working with Al paccino a shortorder cook in ‘Frankie met Johnny ‘. My all time RomCom film and I’m not usually into that genrue. Apologies for not remembering her name , put that down to advanced age !
I also was going to choose Sigourney Weaver in ‘Alien’ simply because it was a superb opportunity to kick ass !
And finally Elizabeth Taylor in ‘Cleopatra’ another strong female and who wouldn’t want to get it on with the late great Richard Burton.

  8. Since I doubt there will be chances to add any blogs I thought I might just alter this one of mine slightly.

This time I am looking for three roles/actors (of the opposite sex) that took your breath away. For me the difficult part is cutting the list to three.

Ok Firstly Catherine Deneuve as Belle De Jour, stunningly attractive I will say no more.

Next Ursula Andress as Honey Ryder in Dr No. Yes that beach scene what an entrance.

Lastly Marilyn Monroe in The Seven Year Itch. Yes THAT white dress THAT subway grill.

I hope this gives you some food for thought and that this blob might becme alive again.
