Messing – Comments on experiences on SC
Once upon a time there was a little boy who just couldn’t leave anything alone.
Everyone told him “You mustn’t touch that”, but did he listen? Did he hell as like.
Fiddle, fiddle, fiddle. Just couldn’t leave well enough alone.
Some things that were broke never got fixed. Some things that were fine before got broke.
Sometimes the idea was good, but the implementation somewhat less than perfect. Sometimes the idea was rubbish, but people actually liked it (no accounting for some people I suppose), but then he had a brainwave.
Spurred on by a comment from a lady member, of normally sane disposition, he changed all the settings, set up sidebars of wondrous complexity to the total confusion of the membership of SC (well me at least).
Was he ashamed? Was he down-heartened? Not one iota!.
That’s one of the reasons I love this site. Leave for 5 minutes and when you get back you look and say WTH? Where’s that come from? Where’s that gone?
