You see? That’s what happens when you cobble together a language from bits of Latin, Greek, Saxon, Celtic and a multitude of other old European languages.

Artichokes???
So yesterday I was bragging about seasonal real veg and just buying whats available. Im mastering Fennel, new to me. Now I have 3 large artichokes🤪 Ive googled so got the basics and seen them cut down to nothing on chef programmes. So any inspiration on cooking without too much waste. tjay, Life is too short for me to fix artichokes but the Italians are good with them, They have a unique taste and you may not like them. The leaves are tough and there is a bur in the center bottom that is not edible. You can eat the leaves by pulling the edible part of the leaf through your teeth.
