I’ve lived with most of that. . . take away the “wooden spoon” and replace it with a whip made from a vine of a weeping willow tree. . . and that would be me. I really hated it when I was told to go pick the vine and make sure it wasn’t too little or I would get whipped even more. . . I often wonder still if that decision time took the hours…

Oh that was my life too, every single point. My mother had a wooden spoon tucked away in the car, in the living room, in the hallway and where ever else. We would hide them on her so she couldn’t find them in time to catch us. But in the car, the 3 of us boys sitting in the back, it was perhaps rush hour and very stressful and we were living it…

In my home town we got several inches of snow in around 1999. Now in Johnsondale where I lived up in the Sierra Mountains on the California border it snowed 3 or more feet just before we got all moved. . . the town went on like always and I had to walk several miles to school. . . yes I said “several miles”.
