  • Lawyers should never ask a Georgia grandma a question if they aren’t prepared for the answer.
In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know me?’ She responded, ‘Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve known… Read more

    • Yes far to many bunches of flowers we now see by the roadside…….in whatever circumstances they have died its usually through careless driving, very few are genuine accidents……..idiots on mobiles, driving like lunatics, to busy laughing and chatting not concentrating…reading, putting on makeup….seen it all….lots cannot even read the road signs or speak English……how the heck do they end up behind a wheel on our roads…….and lots are in charge of ruddy great trucks…… and we all know you don’t argue with the trucks on the road…..

Hi Tania. I do enjoy logging into the site but a job change just over a year ago seems to limit my availability on here. That’s fine in a sense because I used to have time on my hands I needed to fill when no one was home and a chat room seemed to be the solution. However these days I am now usually home when somebody else is here as well, so using a chat room seems less necessary than before, but I do login when I can, usually a few times each week. I enjoy Senior Chatters because it is well regulated, behavior is good (generally – but people are ‘people’ of course) and very good value for money. It would be even better if it was busier, yes, and I’d definitely be available online a lot more if there was an ‘app’ version for mobiles so that I didn’t need to open up a browser page each time because this tends to be unreliable and unrealistic if I’m away from the house. However I’m generally very pleased and I hope SC continues indefinitely so that I can have more use of it in the years to come.

      • Hi Tania. I loved the Chat Room when I first joined a few years ago when the Site was mainly all Chat. I made wonderful friendships, but when the Site changed and apparently there was a lot of nastiness in the Chat Room, some of the old members left, unfortunately. I never encountered any nastiness when I was in the Chat Room, and I find this type of behaviour disgusting in a Senior Site. I post in a few Groups and often don’t get the time to go into Chat. I love listening to the Music, but don’t always get the time to do that as well, as well as reading Blogs. I also have medical appointments that take up some of my time. BUT I come into SC as often as I can and love the Site, and hope it continues for many many years to come.

    • A woman was having a daytime affair while her husband was at work.
One rainy day she was in bed with her boyfriend when, to her horror,
she heard her husband’s car pull into the driveway. ‘Oh my God – Hurry!
Grab your clothes and jump out the window. My husband’s home early!’
‘I can’t jump out the window. It’s raining out there!’
      ‘If my… Read more

      • Funny, I never thought about that – but then I used to dispose of rats with the old 2,2 – did I mention that during the war, we were paid a shilling for every rats tale handed in at the local labour exchange
