  • My workstation has become my window to the world and started giving me errors. Can’t fault it too much since it has been powered on for seven years through storms and much abuse. Anyway, decided to get a new one and upgrade to the new Windows. Seems like a lot has changed in those seven years. Project is now on hold while I get a display…

  • I watched the celebrations at the Old North Church in Boston and the projections on the church. I mentioned it to a neighbor and he asked what was special about the church. Old North Church’s steeple is famous for the role it played in Paul Revere’s April 18, 1775, lantern signal to warn militias in Charlestown that the British were…

    • I saw it on my TV channel here in my area of Baltimore, MD. When we went to Boston, MA. back in 1968 for the first time we visited the Old North Church. Saw a man playing Paul Revere riding thru the area yesterday on a his house letting the people know the British were coming . Thanks Dave for sharing this information today.

I read your blog from last year and it reminded me of my story. I would like to chat with like minded people and hopefully I can find my way in this new world.

        • I am back after a few medical test and hopefully ready to chat of exchange messages. I am still trying to understand timelines, blogs, and chats.

        • I am up and ready for another rainy day. I kept my promise to myself and did not turn on the news. I had my coffee and thought how I was going to handle the loss of a caregiver because of the nose dive of our economy. I am very unsteady walking but I managed to get around, get dressed after a struggle and make my coffee holding on to…

          • @daveondeck here in Australia if you are accessed and approved you can get help from caregivers. Depending on your needs to how much they do. Do they not do that there?

            • Sorry for the late response. I had a little chest pain issue which turned out to be stress. As best as I can explain the system here, we have something called Medicare, which is like insurance. This does not cover in home assistance, only some in home medical needs by approved medical facilities. So I can not get any assistance. With the…

            • The news just gets more troubling. I can just turn it off and remove the frustration but the stress remains. I try to focus on my bird feeder and a good cup of coffee but that is short lived. I would like to help with some positive action but at my age and health, that is limited. How are you handling things? I would love to know and also…

                • Great, I read them and found Lucid on the stack.

                • Just learning how to move around the site. Is there a search of any kind that allows you to find discussion topics or group topics?

                • Yesterday was a tough day and it did not feel like liberation day. My pension is threatened and I had to give up my home health program because I can no longer afford it. I was with a stay at home service because it was easier to afford than the assisted living facilities but with investments losing value I had to make a hard decision. Now I…
