Good evening and Happy Sunday from Richmond, Va. Spent much of the day barbequing some pork butt. Four pounds of butt smoked for just over 6 hours. This evening I’ll pull it apart and add it to some homemade Virginia/East Carolina style barbecue sauce.

We are planning to rent a cabin for three days at Thanksgiving with a couple good friends in North Carolina’s section of the Blue Ridge. I am also hoping Rob and I can squeeze in a week of vacation late this summer or in early Autumn. Rob has never seen Niagara Falls, and I would like to remedy that!

@Dan1945 Hope you are able to go up to see Niagara Falls, went there once when we lived out in Ohio and once with a friend here on a bus trip after I moved back to Baltimore County, MD. in 1995 , I have also driven through the Blue Ridge Parkway going down thru Maryland , VA. & N. Caroline in September 1983.

Big Hot is Gone (for now)
Good morning friends. I got my 8 hours. Rob woke up first and brought me coffee. It looks like we have entered into a bit of summer monsoon season here. Rainy stormy weather predicted for every day this week along with some highly civilized temperatures.
