bob_deb, Welcome . Remember there are no special rules in the Shout group :just civilized behavior like anywhere else. I love to learn and prefer the local words and customs. I am glad I learned some words before everything went proper or formal, or whatever it is called.

Just a stones throw from our son’s home is a massive recreational reserve. It is an oasis of lush vegetation, a creek and lagoon, waterfowl and walking tracks within the urban landscape. I am a regular visitor to the reserve and took the camera with me today to record and share with you just some of the beauty of this magnificent spot.

Millie the sock snatcher
We are staying with our youngest son and his partner (of 32 years!) whilst on the Gold Coast. They have a cat named “Millie” who heads off each day and generally returns with a sock between her jaws. Many thanks grandmaj. It doesn’t really concern me but I feel much more comfortable as plain old “bob deb”. In truth, if I was in a room full of people and someone called out “Robert” it would go straight over my head. Call out “Bob” and I would look up immediately.
