ME AS I AM.
ME AS I AM.
As I wander through this mind of mine
looking at the life that was mine to be led.
The joy’s that were real
and the ones in my dreams .
I know I will never feel them again.
for the moment has passed.
and a new ones begun.
The people I met who made my heart sing,
and the few I forget for reasons best forgot.
There were smiles I cherished and kisses the same.
there were tears that I shed for loves that were good.
and others that spilled for that love that I lost.
The wonders of life make me what I am now
the good and the bad the real and the dreams
I wonder if really I am what I should be.
there were roads that I know I should not have trod.
There were people I could have helped on the way.
showed a more careing neighbourly way.
However its now too late for regrets.
I am me and I am here in the years I have left
Thinking of what or how it could be.
its now time for me to accept this is me .
to realise that this is the person I am
Because of the people that passed through my life.
we all make a choise to be who we are
Taking from those and what passes our way.
molding the bits we cherish to keep.
While others were better to have not kept at all
but the ones that we kept are now the real me.
Me as I am the good and the bad,
the happy and sad and fun times we have.
Looking at my life I am glad I am here .
not changed at all but just as I am.
Some would wish that I was other then this
but I am just glad I am as I wish.
