Live Life……….Love Life……

Subject: LIFE IS SHORT…LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!!!

I DO NOT KNOW WHO WROTE THIS, BUT IT’S A BRILLIANT PIECE!

When we die, our money remains in the bank… Yet, when we are alive, we don’t have enough money to spend.
In reality, when we are gone, there is still a lot of money not spent.

One business tycoon in China passed away. His widow, left with $1.9 billion in the bank, married his chauffeur. His chauffeur said:- “All the while, I thought I was working for my boss… it is only now, that I realize that my boss was all the time, working for me !!!” The cruel reality is: It is more important to live longer than to have more wealth.
So, we must strive to have a strong and healthy body, It really doesn’t matter who is working for whom. In a high end smart phone, 70% of the functions are useless! For an expensive car, 70% of the speed and gadgets are not needed. If you own a luxurious villa or mansion, 70% of the space is usually not used or occupied. How about your wardrobes of clothes? 70% of them are not worn! A whole life of work and earning… 70% is for other people to spend.
So, we must protect and make full use of our 30%. Go for medical check-ups even if not sick. Drink more water, even if not thirsty. Learn to let go, even if faced with grave problems. Endeavour to give in, even if you are right. Remain humble, even if you are very rich and powerful. Learn to be contented, even if you are not rich. Exercise your mind and body, even if you are very busy.

I’ve been thinking about this for a while ,and I’m trying to work out in my head what it really means to…LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST .
I’m sure it means different things to different people ,and at the end of our journey …I will dare to say that most of us will still have some regrets .

That life is short , rings true ,specially at our age when days seem to fly past and death becomes more real than when we were young .
The reality seems to be that we get so caught up in ” living life according to the latest trends ,and how media and society dictates to us ” that we forget to stop and reflect on what really goes on within and around us ,and how what we do or fail to do affects our quality of life and that of others .

I believe that if every day of our lives we dedicated a few minutes to reflect on our day and appreciated the abundance of gifts we receive and that we tend to take for granted life wouldn’t seem that short ,would it ?

    So , what is to
“LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.” For me it would be …” TO ACCEPT AND LOVE MYSELF AS I AM ” because by loving and accepting myself I would be able to love and accept others , and I would feel free and worthy of receiving enjoying and sharing all the beautiful things life selflessly gifts me each and every single day … making my life wonderfully rich and meaningful .
I hope it makes sense what I’m trying to say 🙂

  2. Makes perfect sense to me nmod, to be content within ourselves is key to enjoying life……….in my view living life to the full does not necessarily mean being out all hours of the day and night socialising, not very practical that, but to be able to find joy in everyday things……..i find myself being more appreciative of the simple things in life………things that over the years when i was busy with my career took a back seat, no time to stop and stare as it were………just relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family is my biggest pleasure, costs nothing……….xx

  3. Thanks Starlette for a good blog and nmod you were understood and as usual have some great thoughts
For me, blazing new trails and accepting challenges, and broadening my idea of what is possible makes life worth living. i am going to have a big adventure this weekend, riding a bus, sleeping on the floor with others, and doing a 2 mile protest march. Maybe, i will do it all and maybe I will have to abort, but I will do what i can. After this, I may take up knitting but somehow I don’t think knitting is my destiny.

  4. Somehow cannot see you sitting knitting Rose ……….not that there is anything wrong with knitting, can be a nice relaxing pastime……….always new things to explore, and you sound like you are certainly branching out to find them…….not sure why you are sleeping on the floor, could it be in relation to empathise with the homeless………..or just that you and your new found friends have back trouble………..do hope not…..xx
