Listen to your intuition
This past Sunday, a young mother of a two year old was strangled. She knew her murderer. He had plowed her driveway several years ago. She felt uncomfortable around him and terminated his services. Last Sunday, he called and told her that he and his wife were stranded near her home. She thought the call “weird,” telephoned a former boyfriend to tell him about it should anything happen to her. Later that evening her friend called and when he got no answer searched the area. He found her car with her son in his car seat, signs of a struggle and one shoe. Police later found her body in the river.
If a situation seems strange to you, if the hackles on the back of your neck rise, please listen to your intuition. Don’t worry about being nice or offending someone. Again, listen to your intuition. It is the first line of defense in keeping safe. Pass this on to your daughters, granddaughters, friends–if something seems strange, it is, run as quick as you can away from the danger.
I am sad. Sad for the young mother. Sad for the toddler without a mother. Sad for her students, family and friends.
