I wrote this poem in memory of my sister in law, who was lost to cancer a few weeks ago, but I think it is how many of us feel when we lose someone and would like to share it…

A light has winked out and left us behind

it has gone on now, from us, to travel in time

but something remains, and will never leave

and we hold onto it, and keep it, though we may grieve

we will hear it in our children, and see it in their eyes

in their laughter and thier smiles, and it will not be denied

Your handprint is upon us, there in every home

your spirit is with us, we are never alone…..
