Learning and unlearning, Nature, Wisdom

I now have unlearned more than I learn. A famous person said, ” No matter how skeptical I get, I can’t keep up”. I unlearned much of what I learned about men and now I have learned some new stuff that may or may not be correct. I now have the belief that considering their nature as I believe it to be, men have remarkable self control. I certainly don’t believe God is anything like a man or few women would be virgins. I was told that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. That may work better in olden days, or in the country, but not so much in the city. I don’t think men are hungry for food that are casting a roving eye. I just learned, I think, the meaning to the words of a song, “if you want to be happy for the rest of your life make an UGLY woman your wife”. A lot of men leave women they love or desire because they don’t want to worry about or make the effort to keep them. I also have learned that Nature created men and women a lot different than we were taught and Nature is the boss of us to a great extent, if you can unlearn a whole lot of false teaching you can have a whole lot more fun and live in harmony and peace with the opposite gender. Oh, I know I am ready to unlearn any and all of what I said here.

  1. Men don’t need women to cook for them these days , as meals are readily available pre-prepared with little time an effort needed to finish and serve .
Besides older men (and women for that matter ) don’t need big meals as they are usually taking care of health issues ,like diabetes , cholesterol , high blood pressure , digestive complains etc . So I don’t think that being a good cook is a big attraction for either sex at our age group .
And I guess some men would rather live alone than to have a nagging wife telling them what to do …they may like their freedom …don’t we all ?

  2. bloom once again an interesting topic, everyone likes a good home cooked meal don ,t believe that old addage, think with the way society is today and the broken relationships of which ,1 is, getting together too young, we all change as we grow, some outgrow each other in many ways,Australia stats now is one in two , breaking down….
Women and men think differently , women want the moon and stars , emotionally better equipped, men are more practical, this has been an observation of mine….they take their time and in a lot of cases don,t know their not emotionally equipped in love , when the beak comes ,they are deeply hurt… we are all on a learning curve each day teaches us something new…xxx.

  3. Very nice thought you brought up Rose. You know in Germany as follows:

A man was happy to find a women who could cook like his mother did. Today he finds women they drink like his father did.

So the world has changed a bit don’t you think so? Michael

  4. Rose I never learnt from books..just from experience and forming my own opinions of the opposit sex…never in a million years are we ever going to think the same…absolutely a waste of time trying to change a mans concept about sex…and way I agree with you…who on earth is going to dump a man or women that they desire for a plainer model..just so they dont have to worry about them straying…..not a prayer

    1. Starlette, I like your comment about never learning about these things from books. It reminded me of something that annoys me, but actually makes me laugh too. Most people have heard of Vogue and Cosmopolitan magazines. They are both displayed at the checkout line where I shop for groceries. So, even though I don’t subscribe to those mags, I know that each monthly issue has “100 Steamy Sex tricks you need to know!!!” or “30 top wild moves to drive your man crazy!” Okay, I don’t have a problem with someone educating themselves, but SERIOUSLY?? Haha…I do believe we humans were created to be sexual beings. Maybe we can actually figure things out when we get together with our partner, without reading 100 new sex tricks. But oh well, it’s no surprise that sex sells.

  5. Kaybee, we sure were created to keep the population alive……..Adam and Eve didn’t need a sex manual…….yep…….. reckon we can figure the fun bits out without a book ..lol xx
