Just wondering..
There are some fantasic photos on here of animals and birds from all over the world…..
Do we in the UK have any animals which we take for granted that some of you in your parts of the world don’t see in ‘real life’?

One thing is the grey squirrel, in Norway there is only the red squirrel. The grey squirrel was in fact introduced into the UK from USA in Victorian times as a “pet”
……………..ahh right then endo, as we are so lucky to have such an exotic animal…I will post one when it comes in my garden!!!!
thank you endo! 🙂

Actually debz you can keep them to yourselves , much prefer the red version myself.
Can’t think of any at the moment debz 🙂 xoxoxox
Better you strangle the grey buggers. They are driving out our native reds into smaller and smaller areas. Basically it’s animal ethnic cleansing.
Just a little gift that keeps on giving. Hey, you liked the potato!
We refer to them as tree rats.
the potato and tobacco, but the grey squirrel is one step too far, lol
Hey wait a minute!!! We didn’t send it over as a secret weapon! Some Englishman thought them interesting and brought them back himself along with Squanto!!!You remember Squanto? The Massachusetts Indian boy caught and transported as a New World oddity to fight in the rings for the entertainment of the London populace. Having escaped and sheltered by monks he then returned to Cape Cod just in time to save the Pilgrims!! Let’s look at this historically. 1) The English came to the New World to practice their religion. 2) The French and Dutch came for the Fur trade. 3) The Spanish came for gold, but stayed for the drugs. I do not wish to offend, but when the grey squirrel was transported we weren’t even officially an English colony let alone the United States of America. LOL
