Judge Judy
I am ignorant of what tv shows are aired in Europe and Australia,but here in the States there are a number of Court tv shows that are very popular. The one that stands out among the rest is JUDGE JUDY. A tiny woman in stature. A giant in the area of the law. So by paraphrasing I want to show just how shrewd and brilliant this woman is. Just after law school Judy went to work as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Brooklyn where she met and married another attorney. In order to raise their children Judy stayed at home during a time in history when this was the expected norm of a wife and mother. Her husband pursued his career unshackled by the demands of home and hearth. One day while coping with the screaming babies, Judy asked her husband to please change his son’s diaper. His reply was, ” That’s not in my contract.” Instead of arguing Judy went ahead and changed the diaper. Weeks later her husband was carried home in a hip-leg cast, an accident on the golf course she was told by his cronies. So the men carried her husband up the stairs and placed him in bed. At dinner time Judy was very busy trying to feed two small children, when she heard her husband yelling. “Where’s my dinner? Bring me my dinner!” Judy responded with, “It’s not in my contract!” Needless to say the marriage ended and her former husband vanished into obscurity. After 45 years sitting on the bench Judge Judy is the highest paid tv star today. And that is in her contract!!!!

Sounds like Judy has had some hard life lessons that have served her well.
I love watching judge judy. she has a sense of humour but the look in her eyes defies you to answere back lol….a very clever lady. 🙂

Hi Cag, nice to hear from you, life would not be the same without the Judge, I was in Queensland two years ago for a holiday, one of my sons and family live in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. my Great Grandfather and Mother had the frist general store in Dalby Queensland in the 1800,s, my brother has been to see the old store which is still standing of course it has been closed for a long time but it is still arround, they dont make them like that now. what part of Queensland do you live? kind regards lani36.

I don’t care what Judy went through. She is unbelievably arrogant, nasty, and disrespectful to all the litigants. I cannot believe that you people would like her! She has absolutely no sensitivity towards anyone, and she thinks she is some kind of legal god!

Judge Judy tells it like it is. She does not kiss a$$. she does not believe in entitlement. I respect her and wish there were more like her.
Not very often I give thanks for the judicial system of the UK, but God forbid we EVER go down the road of this parody.
