I keep hearing about Who is Sharon O Brien?

So I googled it ~ I have no idea what to believe……hoax or for real?

A young girl named Sharon O’Brien has had her photos shared around, ‘liked’ and tagged thousands of times by people around the world. The photos are said to show a girl, allegedly named Sharon O’Brien, in her underwear which she sent to her boyfriend, after they split up it’s said he put the photos on various SNS sites..

Noone yet know whether Sharon O’Brien is a real girl, or a fake profile using another girl’s images.

There are many rumours flying around social networking websites now. Including one that states that, the Anti-Bullying Alliance may have set up this as ‘Project Sharon’ to see the reaction from public.

A spokesperson from the UK’s Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) said: “Project Sharon has absolutely nothing to do with the Anti-Bullying Alliance.”

“We are part of leading children’s charity, the National Children’s Bureau and are committed to preventing and stopping bullying it in all forms. We wish to make it absolutely clear that we have nothing to do with this action and it is not part of Anti-Bullying Week.”

Rumours are rife and NONE OF THESE QUOTES ARE BY ME…

~ Apparently it was on the radio that Sharon O’Brien commuted suicide after the abuse she got from those pictures…

~ someone said today that Sharon O’Brien thing was an experiment to see how many people would join in on cyber bullying, what!!!???

~ If Sharon O Brien was set up to show the extent of cyber bullying, everybody who commented has proved what society has become. Bravo guys.

I have no idea what the truth is?

All I can say is I was bullied ~ not to this extent but by people I worked with for 7 years, I was in the most awful dark times I’d ever experienced, and I would never want anyone to experience what I did. I gave my job and took 2 years out.

Thank goodness, I picked myself up again, I now work with adults, some have serious disabilities and others have serious learning difficulties, some cannot hear and I have to sign.

Comunication is a vital essential part of my job.

I cannot stand bullying of any kind, intimidation of any kind and anyone being teased, taunted or poked fun at as an individual, even more so when they can’t stand up for themselves, I really can’t, report report, report.

Recently I witnessed the most appalling form of bullying, and I reported it that same day, so much so that the people involved absolutely detest me now, and everyday like to make my day as difficult as possible, but no I will not let them do the same to me not like I did in the past, I was told I’d made the whole situation up ~ thank goodness someone believed me……it has now been sorted after almost 5 months…

I absolutely LOVE my job ~ reporting did me no favours to some extent I have been ostracised, but really am I bothered? You bet your sweet bippy I’m not………..would I do report again? in a heartbeat yes, without question I would..

If Sharon O’Brian is real or if it is a hoax, it has bought the attention of what bullying can or cannot do to a person.

I hope for this girls sake it is all a hoax and it’s maybe the media highlighting the seriousness of bullying…IT MUST STOP, at work, home, schools and in marriages, do NOT be afraid to speak up!!
