Heatwaves….
I spent most of the Winter moaning about the cold, grey skies, rain, wind….and anything else I could think of, connected to Winter. The feeling of being wrapped up like a burrito, having to wear waterproof shoes…….always putting on jeans every morning with a thick jumper.
Now May is here – my favourite month! The ‘weather people’ tell us that it’s been a record for high temperatures. Sun is blazing down, my garden is shrivelling before my eyes. Sweat is running down my overheated body and I need another shower….the third one of the day! I think back to Winter and remember how nice and cool it was. ……..

Nooooo….ha ha! Don’t let it be over yet. I don’t like having to spend all night trying to get my feet warm in bed. I’m quite happy with the gentle thrum and waft of the fan sending me to sleep at the moment…
yes, the sound of a fan can be quite soothing….apart from the times I think I can hear someone saying something through it!! lol
