  1. Love all the ones on the list and I loved becoming a grandmother and get so much happiness from being a grandma to my 2 grandsons. Thanks for sharing this list with us.

  2. Although I`ve never become a grandmother, I thoroughly enjoyed these sayings. There is one in particular on which I`d like to comment:

“Never have children, only grandchildren. ~Gore Vidal“

I`ve known men and women who never could enjoy their children because they both had jobs to put a roof over their heads and food on the table. They saw there children for just a few hours out of every day. Bringing up children today is a stressful job – get up early, get the kids up, breakfast on the table, into their coats, drive them to daycare then rush to the office, hoping not to be late.

But when their grandchildren are born, for the grandparents, all that stress isn`t there. They have the time to really enjoy them, and in fact, very often babysit them so that their parents can go out and work.

In fact, it seems to me that grandparents these days have not only brought up their children, but as having to bring up their grandchildren too.

Thanks for sharing this with us.
