Glass Half Full Two New Perspectives

Glass Half Full Two New Perspectives

I have come up with some different ways of looking at the question of a “Half Full or Half Empty Glass”.

I was thinking of writing a blog on this subject and was looking for a picture and found this one, the engineers think you need to get a glass that fits what you have. Why didn’t we all think more about this “half glass” a long time ago? People in Europe may adjust their possessions to homes built long ago but Americans are just looking for more storage. I know and I am American and have trouble with downsizing anything especially my expectations.

In life, we have the choice to just be happy and consider what we have sufficient. I was just dreading throwing clothes in a machine and then throwing them in a dryer; then all ready to wear and thought of what my mother did many years ago. I then tripped lightly down the basement steps to do the laundry. This is a case of engineering the right size glass, then the glass is always full.

Here is another perspective worthy of consideration. This considers the empty space filled with possibilities and it is true. When we are depleted and at our lowest, we have a chance to rebuild.

The glass is half full,
The glass is half empty.
Life is cruel.
Life is happy.

Does it matter?
Would I be crazy
To see possibility.
Hold faith that won’t shatter.

In the emptiness,
When life is a big mess,
When I must work to cope,
I choose to hope.

I totally think it crass
Not to believe resolutely,
In the emptiest glass
Lies the most possibility.

I hope you never look at the half full glass the same way again, but I still hope they would put a few more drops of wine in those large glasses with a bit of wine on the bottom, at least I think that for a fleeting moment. I really think the engineers have the right idea, and I would be happier with a smaller glass that looks full. How about you?
