getting ready
I don’t know whether I should put this here or not, but now and again I get browned of with my lot.
It’s Sunday morning just after 10 o’clock and I have been up since seven. I have made the bed put out a wash and mown the lawns. “Why” because cyclone pam is meant to be coming and if I don’t who will. Partner is away on a boys weekend with the local fire brigade and son is busy on his computer. So I have put all the garden furniture in the boat shed, so it wont fly away and battened down the hatches.
Now I have done all this, it wont come and I will have worked hard this morning when I could have had a lie in.
Have a good Sunday everyone and thanks for letting me have my grizzle.
I really hope that Cyclone Pam passes you by Powderpuff, even though you have worked hard….keep safe…Ann
so do I Ann, but then they will be saying “see you didn’t have to worry about putting things away”
Stay safe Powderpuff. Luckily we won’t be getting it down here but it will strike you lot hard if it doesnt blow out itself. You have the consolation of knowing you’ve done all you can with little or no help from everyone else. Remind the men of that when they complain cause something fell off that you didnt foresee…haahaa!!
thanks Faye
Powderpuff, thinking of you and others in your area ~ during this cyclone. Stay safe. Shame that they named the storm, “Pam”. lol
thank you pam, did they name it after you or not lol
You did the right and sensible thing Puff…
“Pam”,absolutely devastated Vanuatu , and theres an unconfermed death toll of 40.
Nobody should take these warnings lightly…Nature is capricious.
I know cappuccino, but I could have done with some help. getting to old to drag things around on my own.
Powderpuff, Preparing for a storm, would be easier with the near and dear being together. Maybe, next time you should consider the lie in. Grass may offer some resistance to the wind. LOL and the clothes, clean or dirty, may be blown a I’d do the lie in wearing one of those onsies and a flask in a pocket. Do you guys evacuate? I did a blog on weather and the worst I had lived through. Seriously, let us know how bad this storm is, and how scary and disruptive these storms are.
Powderpuff. GRIZZLE, I googled that word but don’t know how serious to take a grizzle. Your place sounds lovely and I hope you resolve the issues.
Sorry, also, I totally don’t get browned of it, so my comments may have been colored by my lack of understanding. I am US. One person on here says that things get lost in translation and I guess this is a perfect example, but I love learning all the new words and I love honest talk. I do hope I haven’t offended you powder. I am sorry about the storm and all related issues.
hello to you Powderpuff
