Generations of Slang

Generations of Slang

This is not a blog, oh heaven’s no! Me, sassy BLOG! What a joke and embarrassment that would come to be….lol.

I consider this more of a challenge or exercise, you might say, to anyone who would like to participate in a journey back in time to our younger days when we’d, be at school or simply ‘hanging out’ with our friends and used COMMENTS like: Can you dig it?, Peace out!, I’m gunna split, before someone wigs-out.

Translation? None needed, we all know what was said… or do we? Some lingo may not have made the journey across the Atlantic or the Pacific… nevertheless, with each generation there is slang! Care to share a few laughs? I apologize in advance if someone has already presented this challenge, even so, there may be some memorable chuckles with a revisit!

To those who didn’t get the just of the slang words used above…. dig = understand … peace out = gotta go …. split = leave … wigs-out = loses control or goes ballistic

I’m anxious to see a comment or two in the format outlined below.

Catch my drift? Please, don’t hang it up and be a drag, lay it on me. Y’all, get lip flappin’ and let’s have a blast! In plain and simple words…… Let’s get groovin’ and let it all hang out!

Remember, adherence to SC rules a must!

  13. “Yo” Sassy. “What’s poppin”? Thanks for a “wicked” blog, it was “off the chain” girl. I’m pretty “stoked” about “putting my two cents in”. I was “chillaxin” in my “crib” and decided to “check out” the blogs on SC. “Totally” “tubular” of you to ask our “old school” sayings. Gave me a “flashback”. Some of the sayings are pretty “wacked”. Guess I’ll “pack my bucket” and “boogie” on down the road. Hate to “split” so soon but got to get back to the “grind” and make some “paper”. Went to the dentist and my “grill” needs some work.
