freddie mercury blue plaque – does he deserve one ? 27.02.16
let me tell you a story
hopefully it won’t turn you green
when “jungle” and “garage” was the music jackanory
at about 14 i found queen.
my sisters CD i borrowed
“the greatest hits” was on loop
into my heart cupid arrow-ed
when music was sold i was a “HMV” troop.
i saved my pocket money
into my ears was this injection
the love replaced having a honey
with “queen” i had a real connection.
watching music shows was impressive
no 1 was never a tragedy
brian and roger talking how freddie was so expressive
i suppose we will never truly understand the complex of “rhapsody”.
to feltham i have been
the “bulsara” presence did empty
a tiny pot plant was the scene
it was insignificant for someone vital to a century.
music has got “one vision”
queen led by freddie had no lack
so grateful and delighted with this decision
i no millions will be drawn to the freddie’s “blue plaque”.

I would say yes. Looking at some of the other idiots who’ve got one make that definitely yes
Freddie and Queen were fab……..Freddie was a true showman just as Bowie was……don’t know who is going to replace them, no one on the horizon that I can see……yes he deserves one…….
I have to admit to being a fan of Freddie Mercury – a greatly underestimated musician _ great showman of course, but above all else – what a performer!
There was no one like Freddy
There never will be again.
He was my favorite performer of all time
I mourned when he died. I went to 18 funerals in two years for
friends who died the same way
He was magic personified
He was more alive then anyone I ever met
He was not underestimated he was adored
He was a musical genius in more then one genre
He deserves any honors the industry could bestow
RIP Freddy
We all love you still
Queen was the sum of four parts, each so talented and when combined became a magical group. Freddie as the lead singer, really was like Mr. Fahrenheit, racing at the speed of light….
As a song writer, he was brilliant, lyrics so clever (Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody)
and he had the voice and stage presence to deliver “his product”.
I own Live at Wembley and Live Aid and they allow me to sail off into Freddie’s world for a short time. Not sure what a blue plaque is, but if is an award, then give it.
Since his death, I have never seen a group that actually entertained as well they did. Star quality like his is a rare commodity and he had in spades.
