Falling in love…..

Was just reading one of the little sayings that are displayed on various websites, it says we should fall in love with the one that is there for us, supports us in times of need, loves us unconditionally …… oh but were it that easy to say…….” You are lovely I will fall in love with you.”…….. do we really have a choice of who we fall in love with….the use of the word “fall “implies that it is somewhat uncontrollable and risky……….you could meet the kindest, loyal, loving person who adores you…….and by all accounts that is who you should fall in love with……..but not so…..maybe it is the thrill of the chase in some cases……..is it a challenge to be able to snare the one that appears unavailable………women and men fall for the nastiest pieces of work but hang on in there because they declare they are in love……guess its all down to chemistry at the end of the day…….

  1. Star, its possible to meet someone wether online or in reallife and after time can realise they are in love, sometimes as you say one can meet the nastiest charactors as well and just maybe it’s the thrill of the chase with some, but how does one know if one is not prepared to take a chance, you may win , you may loose , you might end up being the happiest person on gods green earth , then again one might end up with a broken heart, to give and recieve love is the greatest gift of all,
So I guess I am saying the risk is surely worth the effort , if it goes well then it’s a win win .if not well at least lessons are learned, As you say chemistry is the final judge…. good blog …hope you meet your ideal love soon if not allready …xxxx

    1. Star!
Will keep it short. Your intellect is wasted. Write the book, shame the devil. Even old dave had to take his hat off at this one! You tend to gather the truth, spin dry off the lint – and present a whole.

      1. Praise indeed from you Dave, i thank you……….have to admit i don’t tend to wrap things up in sugar coating, just say how i perceive……..i take a great interest in people………..and the workings of the mind fascinate me…..and my ole Dave, when i can drag myself away from SC long enough, the book will be wrote……..or at least the started one finished..xxx

  2. You are so right Star like always I have to admit ungrudgingly. Blind with love is one
expression only. The other one goes like this; marriage is the real and only eye-opener….xxxM

  3. Speaking of falling, we are not supposed to do that at our age; it is just too dangerous and healing takes a longer time. LOL Seriously I agree with everyone and thank you star fora good blog and sparking these replies. Also seriously, do we take longer to heal from love and is it more dangerous for us older people? Are we smart enough to play with fire and not get burned?

  4. Interesting blog starlette. It is a feeling that almost everyone has had at least once in their life. Is it better to have had it just once, or, due to circumstances, to have experienced it several times? What if we were falling in love with life itself? That would describe how I feel everyday.
