Elderly Woes

In our salad days or senior moments or whatever society is calling it. We are still very vibrant, funny, Quizicall, yes and always misunderstood generation in society. We drive, We can play bridge or Euchre like Pro,s in Texas-Hold-um, And mostly we try to look at the good side of people in general and expect little from our offspring except to see and spend time with them. Today was a day of 100 Deg. in the shade, heat index over 115. Tried to help friend to deliver his papers. Went to use the AC in my truck and it was blowing hot air, Hotter than my temp. So called my son and he was cleaning silos out in IOWA. 600 miles from home. Now that is a job no-one likes to do in cooler weather. So asked him if I could fill the airconditioning. His answer you should not be out in this weather. I’ll do it when I get home. So you send the son to college and he gets a degree in Electronic engineering and in this economy he can only find part time one of a kind jobs. Now with the government bringing back 30,000 troops from Iraq, and Saudi, or Afghanistan, where are these men and women going to find jobs. My son and daughter have done duties in those foreign lands and my son had to leave Army reserves due to an injury. But my daughter is still in going for 30 years. she just got home from being in Afghanistan for 18 months. So being born after WW2 was heaven c0ompared to what our children are facing daily. Just my Thoughts. PAT
