Dear London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council

Dear London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Council

I can assure you I have not parked outside a school in your borough or indeed anywhere else despite what Councillor Siama Ashraf tells you. If he reports having seen me parked there than I suggest that he is Barking mad – forgive the pun!

There are a number of reasons why I have been wrongly accused let me outline them for you:

I am a scouser and was nowhere near your borough on that date
I haven’t a clue how to get to Barking and Dagenham
I have absolutely no reason whatsoever to park outside a school and if I did get the sudden uncontrolable urge to do so, I certainly would not travel all the way to London just for that.
I was actually in work in Liverpool at the time stated

and if you are still not convinced of my innocence

I do not own a car because I cannot drive!

Please feel free to send me more penalty notices/fines but please make them hard copies as we are currently out of toilet paper.

Yours sincerely

Carol

PS. do you know my friend the taxman?

  1. Don’t drive? No car? Live in Birmingham? working on the day, presumably with witnesses to this.

Sounds like you have a good case. Good luck in court, because in my experience the bloody councils never listen to reason.

  2. I was once sent a ticket for speeding in Oxford st Sydney,in a rental car that I had returned about 2 hours before…Problem was..at that time and date,I was picking up my car from the Brisbane airport parking lot, 1000 kilometers away..and had the reciept to prove it……It took many e-mails,and copys of the reciept to convince the NSW wallopers, that I was innocent of the charge……My problem then was,I forgot to sue the rental company for grief and charging me an extra days hire…..Dammmitall !!..That could have been a nice little earner.

    1. Where do these people get off .. I will happily go to court with this one want to see the look on the judges face when he learns I can’t drive and don’t even own a car
