Cheer Them Home !
I think it’s ridiculous that we are not allowed to publicly comment on the competition leaderboard !
I personally have great admiration for the five women who are at the top of the leaderboard , they have always given their all to make this site what it is today ,an incredibly fabulous place !
All five are my friends and I don’t have a favorite to win ,they all deserve to win !
It’s exciting to watch them changing places , and wondering who is going to be the winner .
So not to be allowed to comment on the competition ( without the intention of hurting anybody of course ) would be like going to the races or a marathon and being banned from cheering the leaders home !
The girls are doing what they always did , they are fabulous women and a credit to this site !
So come on everyone ….let’s cheer them home !

We have to realize, that ALL things are not measured and that admin is measuring some things only. The quality of the content is not measured and I know I get a lot of fun from the unique contributions of members, though their comments may be short and few.
nmod, where do you find your position. Someone told me to go to my profile page and all I see there is my points listed. I don’t really care but I am curious.

( under this heading there are the names of the five leaders and ,and following the the name of the 5th place it’s another number next to your name , that should be you place on the leaderboard )

I thank you for you time and effort, but you said you were inching up, and others have mentioned their place in line. How do you know you are “inching up”.
I see my points listed and the home page, but I don’t know how many points I have nor where I rank except when I see it on the home page.
I really am not concerned about anyone’s place but just curious about what other people are able to see.
Well if you see your your place on the leaderboard , and if it’s steady it means you haven’t gained or lost anything .
In my situation,I know I’ve lost 17 places a few days ago when I decided to get out of some groups I never contributed anything into .
I know that ,because I went from number 12 to 29 .
Since then I have regained all my places back ,plus a couple more . So if you are anywhere from 6 and 10 watch out ,because I’m after you ! Lol lol

It really says it all on Home Page….Informational & Birthday Messages Only. I agree that its nice to be able to “Cheer them Home” but there have been some fairly negative comments along with the positive ones on the Info Box along with some rather argumentative comments so isn’t it best it be kept off the Main Page where others can’t help but see it whether they want to or not. There is no reason why this cant be done here in Blogs where people interested can chose to have a look and it does get headlined on Home page when a Blog such as this appears.. I think many would prefer not to see those little niggles that keep popping up from Members from time to time on the Info Box. Just my opinion on this one.

I think the leaderboard may be a way of saying,”you are valued” more than it is an idea to win. If we were to cheer for one, that would not be nice, as you say nmod,”all five are my friends”, so how or why would you cheer for one over another.
I do agree that the top five do a whole lot to make the site a better.
I do hope more people will think about doing more and sharing more of their intelligence, wit, and charm. Nmod, I always value what you say and look forward to it.
Pam I don,t mind who of us wins ,as it is always said its not the destination it is thejourney, and your journey as are the others , a wonderful contribution to Chatters…..
I just continue with all the groups I have always done since commencing or joining them….. toenjoy myself and to pass on information…about my Country to others overseas…..

I also like your comment about getting something back.I write blogs, but many times I learn more from the comments than what I say and I like it that way, but sometimes I share something that I think would be informative or interesting. It is all part of a learning process for me.

I really enjoy all of my friends here who have posted ever since I knew them…Norma I have always admired you, you are a good honest person and a valued friend to many of us. This competition is not about winning to me , as I am friends with all that are on the leader board. I love them all and Pam…I love the pies lol….I do not try to win as Pam says, we just do what we have always done…. I love doing my thing on here as much as others like to contribute to SC in their own way. All of the people deserve to win for their contribution over the years, and I do not expect to win…if however I did I would be like Pam and give the prize to a deserving person…Thank you all for making posting such a joy …without you all we would be doing it for nothing…xx

Norma if the competition was a rating scale of character you would definitely be on top. You have always been such a great contribution to the site. I’d never come close to winning because I simply can’t devote the time. Life is really busy so I don’t get to come on as often as most and then it’s only for a few minutes. Pam..I don’t tell you enough but I have and do really enjoy what you contribute. “before they were famous” is a terrific group and I have learned so much. Those who contribute so much deserve to win. No real winners or losers..just a good game to enjoy and share.

Well i have tried to scratch, claw, kill my way out of number six place, even started a grubby group which i will have to pay penance for forever……lol…… all to no avail, seems I’m well and truly jammed in sixth place, but no worries i have got kinda comfy here…….didn’t want to go any higher anyway i get vertigo…hehe xx

Oh, POO! I’m missing all the fun!Ive had a busy few days,catching up with all the work and people I’ve missed since suffering from this nasty virus,and my main computer needs fixing…..supposed to be mended last night but after my computer fixer went, I found that when I logged in to SC,my screen freezes and it’s impossible to use.
I’m stuck with this Ipad which is a little better than nothing until my mending man comes back.
Can I have my belated say please? I wasn’t keen on this points thing, I feared it would become competitive and nasty…..and there were comments posted which were err….not altogether supportive, and from one or two surprising sources.
All of the girls on the ‘leaderboard’ are my friends,and to be honest,I don’t give a damn who wins.Everyone of them has contributed a great amount to SC over the years in posts,comments,humour,and support for other people.Im proud to know them, and proud of my SC. And you nmod are one of the nicest people I know….wish I was going to Tin Can Bay!
Can’t wait to be back in action in all the groups….and this points thing has been exciting and funny and interesting.
