Blossom. My apple trees are in flower and looking lovely just now. I usually get a good crop from them . I enjoy looking at the garden but I don’t do any gardening myself. Spring is my favourite season…. The promise of good things to come,,,,,The pretty primroses multiplying every year and reminding me of my childhood. My windmills are a success. I haven’t seen any pigeons recently and the magpies are giving me a wide berth too I dont like the magpies because they are cruel to the baby birds .

Yeah the Magpies are proper bullies, and we have a certain type of common crow up here in the NW as well which is equally aggressive. We try to put enough bread scraps out though to make sure even the sparrows get a good feed.
Yes I agree Spring is a beautiful season. Its the only reliable one. It always comes, with snowdrops, crocus, primroses & daffodils. That heavenly dawn chorus. Summer is more of a tease.
