Beyond the profile
Hi there and thank you for reading my first ever blog. Why write or read a blog? For me; a need to be heard, known, understood. Very egotistical and why not. I love the anonymity of SeniorChatters it gives me a relatively safe space to try something different. A different way of being. Reading others blogs and even better other peoples responses I find fascinating. It feels a bit like legal stalking. Really seeing into others thought processes. If you write a blog, why? Avid blog reader? why?
So how to introduce myself: 67 years in 67 words
Retired Psychiatric Nurse. Find people captivating. A psychological Rubik cube. Entertainingly married (45 years). For many years; 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats but life moves on. 1979 Passed my Driving Test, Hospital Finals and got married in 12 weeks. Been Shipwrecked and Bankrupt; neither blindsided me like the aging process. When one of us realised we were both losing the plot. We ran away to sea.
So are you up for the word a year introduction. ‘Speed meeting for the aged’. You can lie about your age or anything else I guess, but Id love a glimpse of the real you.

Tjay, thank you for your blog post. I found it quite interesting. You are a brave woman. I’ve often wondered if people are writing blogs any longer online, since video logs (vlogs) on YouTube have soared into great popularity. In fact, one day, I looked it up online. And, I found people still do blog. It’s nice that this website allows that opportunity for closet writers. I’d consider myself on of those. Perhaps one day I’ll give it a try. You are the inspiration so far, as I only just started to poke around being fairly new on here. I like the 67 words at 67 years old. Very clever! Blog on!
Thanks Shellie. I think it used to be big on the site years ago. Would love it to get going again. You can access past blogs through peoples profiles. Some great stuff out there but you have to search. Look forward to reading yours. 🙏
