All That Glitters and What Is Precious

Did you ever think that someone or something was the answer to all your, hopes, dreams, or prayers, and then suddenly realize that you had NOT made a very good list of what you really wanted.? I just did that. I have a man promising me the sun, moon and stars and he hardly knows me. Well, this is a sweet thing and has never happened to me before. He also pays wonderful attention and compliments. He also wants to help me with my chores and be a part of my life in every way.This is a whole lot and is a wonderful new experience. He is a man of substance and does volunteer work in our community. He is not an Adonis but he is tall, dark and handsome enough with boyish charm. He is not wealthy but has adequate income . Naturally, You and I both have to wonder what is the catch.
When I was dreaming and hoping, I didn’t wish for wealth, or high status. I seem to find those men tend to be egotistical and not real concerned with with my hopes and wishes.
I just know about my own experience so I could be wrong. Adequate means and intelligence and a generous heart was at the top of my I list. I could get caught up in making an impression and other’s opinion and I could go for what I knew, and assume that they were also kind and generous and honest. Did I remember to put good chemistry and love on my list when I conjured up this dream? possible Will that just grow and bloom, or will I just thank the stars above for a sweet new experience and call it enough and remember to make a better list next time? Oh, the mysteries of life and unraveling them is what life is and I need all the help I can get. Please, dig into your memory banks and share your stories here.
