A tribute to Creala ……..

To those members that were on the old site and remember her, I got news today of her passing.

This is what her daughter wrote to me……

she went into the hospital late January with pneumonia and never made it back home. The pneumonia kept reoccurring, didn’t respond well to drugs, then progressed into an auto-immune lung disorder which finally took her. She fought hard these last four months as she moved from the hospital to physical rehab facilities and then back to the hospital again each time she had a relapse. She loved life and tried very hard to stay with us.

Mom died peacefully Sunday afternoon surrounded by family and friends who told her how much she was loved. I guess that is the most any of us can hope for.

I remember Crela as a warm, loving and fun person, she was one of the oldest on the site and endeared herself to many.
I will never forget her stories about her cat and what she wrote in the news articles in her local area. I will always recall her stories of the theature, and her love of her family.
Farewell Creala my friend xxxx
My heart and prayers go out to your family.

  4. So sad to hear about the passing of Crela. She was struggling for the past year with her health, but fought hard each day. She was funny, intelligent, loved life, and her dear cat.
She did me a great favor once. I will always be grateful to her. She also sent me some of her poetry, that she one day hoped to published. Perhaps her family will continue that pursuit for her.
My deepest sympathies are with her family and her friends.
    Rest in Peace, dear Patricia.

  5. My apologies, I misspelled her screen name here, it was Crela, not Creala. (I called her Patricia, so it took me forever to recall her screen name).

  7. In so many ways, Crela , was a breath of fresh air in chatters. She was intelligent, articulate, creative, and had a sunny out look on life. I really enjoyed the banter in the room with her, as well as reading her funny blogs about her cat. She has been sorely missed from the site for sometime now. I am so glad I had the good fortune to enjoy her stories and laughs. Laura, thank you for posting. It gives us all the chance to celebrate her life on chatters.

  8. So sad to hear of Crela’s passing. I too enjoyed our chats. Crela was a very articulate and erudite person and I could never think of her as the age she was, such was her youthful outlook on things.
    My condolences to her family
