A Spark that started a Fire Part 2

The ship Cars was on had its own WiFi system which was hit and miss, we couldn’t chat like we used to, so we had to rely on emails. When i never heard from Cars for two or three days I started to miss her, in fact I became quiet insecure, wondering what was happening. I had been let down before with friendships and relationships, one very badly, but that is another story.
Suddenly Cars would be in my inbox, cussing the useless WiFi and useless public computers. Once I had received the email I was up in the clouds.
The ship had a tracking device that I could follow the ship on its course, the track was always three hours behind its actual position, I learnt that early in the trip, so I was able to watch the ship come and leave ports on harbour web cams.
This might sound strange, but harbour web cams and ships have always been a hobby of mine, especially ships, as I was a sailor in the British Merchant Navy when I was a boy, and through harbour webcams I can see how much these harbours had changed over 50 + years.
I watched the ship approach the first Panama lock, I watched the whole sequence from entering and leaving. It was in Mirraflores loch on the web cam I saw Cars standing in the bow of the ship. Just after the ship left the lock I got an email saying three words “Wow, Wow Wow. Then a follow up email next day, saying you are right this is worth seeing, thank you, I love you.
The trip ended ten days after Panama,I watched the ship dock in San Diego.I knew within a few hours Cars would be home and normal service would resume.
Whilst on the plane flying home Cars surprised me, I was on Gmail writing a welcome home Email to her, when Cars Light came on, hello, did you miss me she wrote, Where are you I asked in excitement, I am flying home, on WiFi on the plane, of course I missed you I replied after a little more chat, Cars had a nap and I finished some chores.
From then on, over Christmas we carried on, our friendship growing deeper and deeper.
March came around and Cars and hubby were preparing for the Iceland trip, this trip was for 7 nights although, the original plan was 3 nights, but Cars decided 3 nights was not enough. I asked her what were her plans for the trip, she said museums art galleries and other touristy things to do in Reykjavik,
Oh why only Reykjavik,I asked, she replied thats where the hotel is, and their trips are very expensive.
Right I thought I shall be Cars tour guide, I went onto YouTube found some tours for Iceland, and emailed them to Cars.
I got up to an email saying thank you I have booked three tours, you sent me all cut price, Cars again looking for a bargain.
Cars gave me regular updates and pictures of places her and hubby had been to.
The first email I received, said “What the heck are they saying” in Cars best western, I realised that this was the first time Cars and hubby had travelled out of the United States.
Cars saw the Northern Lights, in fact she saw a four hour show, even though she was cold.she was enthralled by the sight of the colours and the patterns.
Cars did try out hiking on Glaciers enjoyed them except the climbing boots the tour had given her were steel toecaps and tight for her feet, so she suffered bruised and broken toenails.
I realised that Cars was roughly an hour and a half flight from me in Scotland, 890 miles from me, so near yet so far.
This time when she got home, she suffered terrible jet lag, as she had crossed seven time zones and it affected her badly.
