A Basket of Love

This is dedicated to all Americans.
On September 11, 2001 The United States of America was attacked by terrorists. In my opinion to hate is easy. To love is much harder.
• Love has no boundaries.
• Love is as simple as truth.
• Love is eternal hope.
• Love is a smile on a child’s face when she hands her pop wildflowers picked and gathered from the mountain side and gently put in an old coffee can.
• Love is when the heart can rest awhile in a smile.
• Love is a soft breeze that blows through the trees making the sound of wind chimes.
• Love is a birdhouse made from old tired wood.
• Love is a heart of red bells.
• Love is a gold bracelet that twists like the mountain road.
• Love is a small white bear with a big red heart to let you know not to fear, I am here.
• Love is a Christmas tree decorated with bows made of ribbons, candy canes, and six fuzzy red apples.
• Love is being able to care even when you want to turn and walk away from the pain that life brings.
• Love is being able to listen without judgment.
• Love is letting go at the end even when it rips your heart in half.
• Love is breathing life into a puppy for he is a gift from God.
• Love has no color if you let it come from your heart.
• Love is a gift of the soul.
• Love is holding your dad as he takes his last breath, then gently kissing him goodbye.
• Love is entering as two and through time becoming one.
• Love is taking the time to care.
• Love is being able to travel all of life’s hardships with hope for the future.
• Love is being held by hands that are rough and callus from years of hard work.
• Love is being able to let your children go, but the greatest love is being able to let them go without guilt.
• Love is having faith beyond sight.
• Love is a DAD sharing with a small girl the miracle and wonder of nature.
• Love is loving someone when you know their love is not as passionate or deep.
• Love is loving all of someone not just part of them.
• Love is knowing that strength follows pain.
• Love has no beginning nor has it any end.
• Love is believing in God when everything around you gives room for doubt.
• Love is a dad who reads the ladybug story a hundred times just to make you laugh and smile.
• Love is a dad who brings you a single yellow rose when his first grandson is born.
• Love is a son who changes his plans because spending time with his dad is more important.
• Love is a mom and dad standing in the rain waiting for a bus after Christmas shopping.
• Love is a daughter rubbing the pain out from her mother’s hands.
• Love is a son who sits with his mom and watches a movie that he thinks is silly just because he loves her.
• Love is a daughter that brings flowers wrapped with pink and purple satin ribbons to let her mom know how much she is loved.
• Love is a man who works where hate is all around him, but stays because he loves his family more than giving into the hate.
• Love is never giving someone reason to doubt themselves.
• Love is opening your heart without any questions, fears, or reservations.

  1. Beautiful sentiments. Personally, I know if that if my loved ones were victims in 9/11, I would hate with a vengeance and want revenge until my dying day.
