Hello

I found this site thru a local seniors resources group.  I live in the US and of course this virus has me isolated.  I am a retired minister, I have traveled some, raised a son and three grandchildren and lived in the same place for 27 years.  I don’t think I am boring however who knows.  I chose my name because I am curious about the world and meeting others.  I have tried my hand at photography but not done much lately.  So that’s a little bit about me. tell me about yourself.

    1. Hi Syd, Some days I don’t think the isolation is affecting me much because I go walking by the river or reading books or puttering around the house. then I will hit a day when I wish I could talk to someone face to face and hold their hand or get a hug. fortunately I have a cat who likes to chatter and another one who likes to cuddle so I get some attention and contact with another living thing. I recently retire at the start of the pandemic so my isolation was paired with the loss of contact with people on a regular basis. I live in Williamsport PA and we just had 2 feet of snow so there is white all around the trees are painted by the snow. tree limbs are bare. I spent the evening on line watching a program on global unity. Sorry for the late response, I am just learning how to work this system. Where is Shropshire?

      1. Funny, I too have a cat and live alone. I do so love being with people that I know and care for. My daily walks keep me focused on the things that matter in life. I retired a few years ago, and find that I do not miss the intense pressures that my job placed on my life. Now I am able to relax.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and stay safe.

        1. I hope you had a good holiday season. It was quiet around here. The most exciting thing was New Year’s Eve with a zoom party. Today I am trying to figure out if there was anything I could have done differently in my life to make this world more kind.

Take care. As you can tell I haven’t gotten the hang of this yet/

  1. Hi Curious, how is the isolation affecting you, are you ok ? I live in Shropshire, England. I am used to being isolated living in the country, in fact I prefer it. I too am curious about the world, especially nature.
