VISION

One eye open, one eye closed.
How long can I, hold this pose.
Some things clear, some things blurry.
All things passing, in such a hurry.
Sees the past, can’t see the future.
Can’t change one, the others nature.
It’s just like a forest, or so I’m told.
It gets cut down, before it grows old.
Let’s say maybe, just maybe it’s true.
Brilliant white lights, for me and for you.
Watching and waiting, just off to the side.
Praying that we, in life do abide.
The lessons passed down, from times long ago.
Basic instructions, which path we should go.
The narrowest path, is the hardest to travel.
Leading to where, life’s secrets unravel.
