The Seduction – Chapter 2
My cell phone rang. I picked it up and put it to my ear.
“Hello, it’s me.”
“You mean ‘It is I'” I said primly. “The verb ‘to be’ takes the same place before and after …”
“Oh for Christ sake, knock it off,” he cried indignantly.
“To whom am I speaking?” I asked, making sure I didn’t end a sentence with a preposition.
“Richard,” or course.
“Richard … who?” I asked, deciding to be difficult.
He heaved a big sigh. “Richard – your next lover!”
I too deliberately sighed loudly. “You will have to be more specific, I’m afraid. I know several Richards, all of whom want to be my lover.”
“Don’t give me that crap. You know damn well it is I who is on this end of the phone, wishing I wasn’t having to deal with such a … difficult … recalcitrant … infuriating woman.”
“Yes, well that’s part of my charm,” I said smoothly.
“Oh, is that was you call it? I call it bloody annoying.”
“So what can I do for you, Richard?”
“I’m free this afternoon for our second interview. Come to my house at 2.00 pm. and bring your bikini.”
“Bikini?” I squeaked. “Why should I bring a bikini for an interview?”
I was talking to a dead phone – he’d hung up.
Damn him – who did he think he was? Some movie idol women all over the world drooled over? Some Don Juan women tossed their hotel keys to at every conceivable opportunity? Erm … yes, that’s exactly what he was, I had to admit to myself reluctantly.
I went into my bedroom and began going through my bikinis. Quite an ordeal it was too, trying to pick one that wasn’t too daring, (definitely not my string bikini that had just a teensy weensy triangle in front plus two not so tiny triangles over my breasts – I am well endowed in that respect, and it’s all mine too) as against one that wasn’t too prim and proper (my two piece that reached all the way to my waist). I finally settled on one in a leopard skin print because it set off the tone of my buff, tanned body to perfection and showed off my long legs, which he’d already admired.
I looked in the mirror – what to do about my hair? I am a natural redhead and my hair goes all the way down to my waist. On my first interview with Richard, I’d worn it pinned up. Would it be wise to go to his house, with it down? Wouldn’t that put ideas into his head? Huh, those ideas were already in his head, so what would be the difference? I snorted. Might as well wear it down.
What about make up? I hadn’t worn any for our previous meeting, because I’ve always made a point of dressing down on my interviews, particularly when it’s with a man. There’s a good reason for this – I don’t want anything to distract his mind from the reason I’m there in the first place – to get him talking about himself instead of fixating on me. Well Richard was already fixated on me so wearing make up or not wearing it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference.
Well, okay, I would put on make up. After all, this was going to be a casual, poolside interview, so I could see no harm in apply some make up – a nice sienna eye shadow, making my tawny eyes look even … tawnier – a nice bronzed blush on my cheeks, black mascara, and a bronze coloured lipstick – what was it called? Oh yes, “Bronze Goddess.” Mm, that would do very nicely.
Perfume of some sort, I wondered? A little daub maybe under my breasts and behind my ears? If so, what perfume should I go for? Something demure like “Rose Garden” or something wild and primitive like “Musk Temptress?” Well, in keeping with the leopard skin print bikini, I decided “Rose Garden” would not be suitable, so “Musk Temptress” it would have to be. It is so very important to accessorize ones perfume to fit in with the rest of ones outfit.
What to wear over the bikini was the next important decision I had to make. I decided to go with a wrap around skirt over the bottom half of my body, that had a long slit up the middle which would open every time I crossed and uncrossed my long slim legs, giving me freedom of movement. Being comfortable was very important – I hated to feel confined which would’ve been the case if I opted for my full length tight fitting pool skirt. As for the top, well there was no sense in covering that up because after all, this was a poolside interview so it was only fitting that my arms, shoulders, back and tummy be exposed. Golden sandals completed my overall look.
I inspected myself in the mirror – hm, Richard was in for the shock of his life! I didn’t think he’d even recognize me.
I set off for his house.

I think she’s going to have Richard begging for more.
Oh yessssss, that’s the general idea! I love the way she justifies making herself drop dead gorgeous – I wonder here who’s out to seduce who????
Thanks for your comment
Jo this is what I think…Richard already knows what a natural beauty Jenny is without all the embelishment and he is very attracted to her…What he is wondering is how interested she is in him….
Her appearance pool side will answer his question. I think lol
Watch out Jenny the pool has a shark in it.
