The Brain vs The Heart

While the brain is made to help us negotiate our way through the chaos of our life, the heart is made to help us accept and find meaning within this voyage. Our heart is sensitive to the dynamic hidden order beneath the chaos and when it, finds it, it often makes us laugh until we cry at our recognition of our brain’s foolish pride in its illusion of mastery of destiny. It seems as if the heart is our primary sensor of humor. The brain is mortality phobic. Its greatest fear is its own end or any consciousness state that seems to approximate the selflessness that the brain may experience as the end of its existence. The brain is not easily distracted from its lethal alliance with its body. It compulsively sticks to its task to win the human race! The brain seems to want to have a blast, while the heart needs to have a bond. Jesus (Hace)

  1. It would depend whose brain and heart you are dealing with……………we can all face the same situation but perceive it entirely differently……………we can all encounter the same affairs of the heart…………but again we would not all deal with it the same way………..how long is a piece of string…………hopefully the brain and the heart can work in unison………..sometimes at least………but alas, not always as we all know to our cost……….And The World Turns. x

  2. Doesn’t it Star depends on the person and the situation it is in? Most people confound their heart with their stomach and the decisions they have to make come out of it.
I’ m strongly convinced as serious a problem or situation might be the brain should have the last word.

  3. Starlette, Let me ask you a question? When you hear devastating tragic news does your hands grasp your brain or your heart? When asked where does your love reside most people point to their heart. You see the brain is attached to your body which is composed of earthly ego materials. While your heart offers no demands just the support of love. So it is true that we need both. When asked about you gut feeling, you will turn to your heart. For the brain seeks instant gratification for it is always thinking even as we sleep. For this reason it tends to place all this information in perceptions Cubes derived from your eyes and judgment. This allows the brain to deal with so much information. The heart is genuine to it’s self and perceives light that the eyes cannot see depriving the mind of labeling and judgment. The brain functions on the senses of the physical body to interpret the world. (Touch ,smell ,sight ,taste ) all these senses contribute to the brain making quick judgments and creating an ego that defines right or wrong on the things that can be seen and heard. Please don’t mis understand me but the heart does think but not like our minds. It’s been a pleasure speaking with you and as we all know. We are all different, but yet the same.

  4. Hace nice to meet you hello, all i know is that gut feeling and intuition is something my brain tells me, whether i act on it is up to me…………….and if i lose someone, my heartbreaks as it where………, the brain controls the body and emotions…………but i am sure clinically you are absolutely correct……….so my brain is telling me to give in gracefully and admit defeat………….after all i’m just a women…………and i cry if anyone upsets me……….is that the brain or the heart looking for sympathy. xxx
