NEW DAY

NEW DAY

White is black, and black is white.
All seems well, all seems right.
A new day dawns, things look bright.
Focus clearly, adjust your sight.
Stand up tall, with all your might.
Things that matter, are worth the fight.

Once again, you start to ponder.
What is that, over yonder?
Hope is here, you pine no longer.
Each new day, your getting stronger.
Time starts over, as love grows fonder.
What was wrong, you start to wonder.

Start all over, change the view.
This new life, is just brand new.
Change is hard, it starts with you.
Like fine tea, it has to brew.
Take your time, and think it through.
What the future holds, you have no clue.

    1. Rose, I live with Major (clinical) Depression. I write when I’m drowning in the black hole that only people with depression can see.
As a result, my poems can tend to be a bit on the dark side at times.

      Thanks for asking,
