Now, you probably won’t remember, but you were in a huge pile-up on the motorway. You’re going to be okay, you’ll walk again and everything, however, your penis was severed in the accident and the paramedics… Read more

  • Drank the christmas money

It was Christmas and the mood was festive. All the world put on a happy face and joy was the norm. Well, at least for most people. Not, unfortunately, for Brendan Quinn, a man of heavy heart, and no wonder. In the scramble to enjoy every minute of holiday, he’d hit the pub at 100 mph and before knowing it, had bought… Read more

A Little Poem For Seniors, so true it hurts!
    Another year has passed
And we’re all a little older.
    Last summer felt hotter
    And winter seems much colder.
There was a time not long ago
When life was quite a blast.
    Now I fully understand
    About ‘Living in the Past’
We used to go to weddings,

    • Very similar memories for me too, Tania, although my crew, myself included, were not above chucking the occasional banger behind a group of watchers round the various bonfires of the area.

    • One incident from a bonfire night over 60 years ago is still very clear in my mind. My father was supervising the letting off of fireworks in the back garden of what was then our family home. Our garden was long and narrow with a path leading from the back door to a hedge at the bottom. I can see my dad , as clearly as if it was yesterday , bending down in front of what we called a ‘Jumping Jack Flash’ He lit it and the firework literally jumped into the air taking poor dad by surprise. He sprinted down the path but the darn thing seemed intent on following him ! My mum , myself and my little schoolfriend were in hysterics but , needless to say , dad didn’t see the joke. 😂 Happy Days

  • The other night I was invited out for a night with the “girls.” I told my husband that I would be home by midnight, “I promise!” Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easily. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up and cuckooed 3… Read more
