I was married for 60 years my wife died and I find myself lonely so thaught if I joined something like this i may find a female friend to talk to and have an occasional cup of coffee with. I am a loner and find it extremally hard to converse with people especially males,

Welcome to the community. @Gus we are generally more about getting to know each other as a group than one to one. If you can find some groups that interest you, you will find lots of stuff to stimulate conversation and get to know some like minded people. Good luck finding your way around. It can take time.

Yes as @tjay says, we encourage our members to join in on the main pages, with posts and comments (it’s easy, just give it a try) or in the chat rooms.
