As a once part-time u/t squaddie (LI), and having attested many years ago to Her (late) Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the three extremely rousing cheers on the lawn for our King, Charles III were meaningful and significant, as was the whole day.
The Andrew do do the three cheers differently, so let’s say:
Hip hip hip HOORAY

Interesting piece of railway history, Diickorrich – thank you.

@woollie
Thought we’d chatted/connected way back woolie, but perhaps was just in quiz room or some other chat room.
Was just going to say ça va? Do not want to stretch my limited française too far : c’est ça d’un jeune élevè anglaise de treize ou quatorze ans, and my spelling was even worse then!

Well, aside from your usurpation of the fond (I hope) nickname given to me by some younger work colleagues some 10years ago, I extend an heathy welcome and wish you well n your cruises: don’t get to far South, it gets a lot colder. I’d apologize for your neighbours, but I bear no responsibility for sending them there.
I do have a name…

welcome, hope you find people who will chat, lovely name, good song by a fave group as well!

You’re playing singles crib, 6 cards dealt, two into the box, your opponent’s box. You’re dealt 5 of Diamonds, 4 of Diamonds, 6 of Diamonds, 5 of Hearts, 5 of Spades: what would you discard?
-
I would probably (reluctantly) discard one of the fives. It could backfire, but there is more chance of the turn up hitting it and you sit more initially,as well as a better chance to peg.

@Grammymarth
No offense sweetie, but I usually only connect after I’ve chatted with/to someone and we’ve some rapport: being Brit would I understand red hat? I know about red berets, but mine was either green or RAF blue, depending when.

@Nealpaul
Read your profile info, your interests are not dissimilar to many of mine: we should chat sometime. I rarely respond to friend requests immediately, there are many who come to the site and try to garner friends/mine information, so many of us are reluctant until we know people better.

Glad I found this one. The much later Hank Williams jnr seems easier to find.
