  • So early into her bereavement over the loss of her husband, the Queen celebrates her 95th birthday today 21st April. We can’t expect it to be a joyous occasion for her and the Royal Family but I’m sure the people of the world will join together in acknowledging the occasion.

  • Late last night, just as we were about to go to bed, there was a rowdy commotion coming from next door’s chook pen. My wife yelled hysterically “the cat is in the chook pen and stirring them up something terrible”. I quickly ran down, flashlight in hand dreading the ensuing devastation only to find….

  • As we move into Autumn, Summer receding and Winter approaching, our roses have called it a day for this season. Remarkably the African and French marigolds that we plant amongst the roses are flourishing…

  • Europe 2005 Episode 14 Paris

This is the final photo episode of our European trip back in 2005. It was followed by a similar trip in 2008 which focused mainly upon northern Europe up to the Arctic Circle, however we made time to follow the Rhine from Holland to Switzerland, spending a week in the latter, before hastily returning to Cherbourg…

  • @stargazer Hey star, just had to congratulate you on the fantastic symmetry of the two cats embracing. That is not just a good photo, it is a unique one and deserves a pat on the back! Well done.

  • @Fairy

Two full days gone by and yet no responses, this is not representative of Chatters as I find it by any means and I am lost as to why you have not been welcomed by anyone other than myself. When I first joined, some 3 months ago I was made feel at home almost immediately and, despite having made every mistake possible in posting etc, I…

    • Sound advice on many levels, Bob.  It is a bit confusing when first joining this or any other site.  Its best to ‘get involved’ by interacting with comments on posts, etc.  Hard to accept someone as a ‘friend’ when you do not know who they are and what their likes and dislikes are….and we always have to be aware of ‘scammers’!!

      • @Jim1945 Re your Kennedy Space Centre photos, tried to comment on your post Jim but it wouldn’t “stick” so doing it via activity. What a fantastic place to have visited, thank you so much for posting.

      • Great to see aeronautical pix making a comeback, a subject very close to the heart of many chatters. Here is a couple more that I hope you will enjoy…
