I can drink a tot of brandy out of a brand new bottle without opening it, how do I do it

Brandy bottles have a raised portion, on the underside, so you pour your brandy from an opened bottle and then drink it from the upturned unopened bottle. Personally, I wouldn’t bother, I’d rather have my (minimum) VSOP from a gentlywarmed balloon glass!
