I’ll settle for an Eastern Brown! Grandmaj and all the other Aussies know precisely what I mean. Can’t get too excited if indeed I am correct for it was really a ‘lay down misere’ answer.

What 8 letter word can I take a letter away from and still be left with a word, then I can take another letter and still be left with a word. And keep taking away one letter at a time and still be left with a word, right down to one letter?

A cop was walking past a restaurant when he heard someone scream – “No John, not the gun!” He ran inside and and saw a doctor, a lawyer, a milkman, and a dead body on the floor. If ever I needed convincing that I was way behind the 8 ball (my youngest son reckoned I needed an hour and a half to watch “Sixty Minutes”) your posts have confirmed it beyond all doubt. Gonna have to wait for further elucidation before I can get a handle on this one!

The son and the father got into a car crash the son was badly injured the father was killed the boy was rushed to the hospital the operating surgeon said ” I cant operate on him he is my son.” Who was the surgeon.
