Rabbits
Ive had dogs all my life. My last one died of old age (he was 16) in 2022. For one reason or another we have decided to hold off on finding another one. But our kids pushed us into getting some rabbits as a sort of trade I guess. I know nothing about rabbits, nothing, except that when they’re babies it’s very difficult to tell what sex they…

My husband surprised me with 5 bunnies. They are beautiful show rabbits but I really didn’t need another job to do right now. I think in our new house we can get them set up so it will be much easier to care for them. I see many people who get like large puppy tent type setups but they have no covering on top. The one I saw had places for…

Growing up in BC
Hi all. Great to see a group about Canada. I was born and raised in Vancouver, also spent a some years growing up in Penticton and on Vancouver Island in the 1960s 70s & early 80s. Man… my brothers and I had so much fun, it was a great time and great place to grow up. If anyone else did, i could easily spend hours going down memory lane.

Health and fitness – I’m glad this group exists! This is topic in my life which has taken over so very quickly. My whole life has been worry free as far as health and fitness is concerned, until Prostate cancer got me when I was 57. After radiation treatments I thought everything was good. But it came back in 2022 and had started to spread a…

I disagree because I think the topic is one that should be talked about, especially as it’s the leading cancer killer in men and yet it’s one of the most difficult to get a diagnosis in the UK. I myself am considering paying privately for a check, it’s that hard to get something done through our National Health Service. I’ve waited nearly…

You‘re right of course, I just didn’t want to get all hard core as it were. But especially at our age it’s a very common issue and although Prostate cancer is very treatable, it can also spread quickly to other organs which become not so easily treated. Getting a simple blood test done with a PSA value is good start and keep an eye on that. If…

About a million years ago when I lived in Nova Scotia Canada I decided to start learning the blue grass Banjo. The 5 stringed one where the highest string is in front of the lowest. This got too confusing for me. Still got the Banjo and a great instrument it is. My kids (2) have guitars too but no one has picked it up out of curiosity…

I think I could fit in here, I’ve been a professional symphony musician for 45 years, 37 of which in Germany and the rest in Canada. I play the viola and am the 1rst Principle viola in Sinfonie Orchester Aachen. I say am but in a couple of days I’ll be well n’ truly sent into retirement. I know the genre of music here is somewhat different but…
